Hide & Seek
Financials
This project is entirely funded by the ticket income. This means that for this performance, we are trying this, for us, alternative method of financing focused on the people that actually come to listen to our shows.
To all participants, we have offered a percentage of the tickets income, proportional to the time invested in the project, after some fixed costs have been deducted.
The fixed costs for this project include:
printing of flyers
printing of scores
props
costumes and specialised make-up
All these elements are reduced to their minimum and necessary. They are also an investment (like the promotion flyers) into the project itself.
The majority of the work though, comes of course, from the creative team itself.
António Sá-Dantas, idea, co-creator and project coordinator
Maren Bosma, co-creator of Cat’s Cradle and co-creator
Vianne Furey, invited collaborator and co-creator
Lynn Rinner, visual designer and social media manager
Matthew Tate, photography (for posters and performnce)
videographer (TBC)
For this one performance to come to fruition, we had to put over 200 hours of work in form of research, meetings, rehearsals, editing, arrangements, composing, managing, promotion and more to bring all these pieces together. All these hours are technically billable.
The prices of our tickets reflect a bare minimum of a payment for this work, knowing that a lot of it does come from the sheer motivation and interest of the team itself.
If you have suggestions, questions or would like to support us in a different way, feel free to write us an email. We’d love to hear from you.
Thank you for your interest and curiosity and we hope you will enjoy the show!
